My name is Heidi Marie Ebeling. I was born in Tupalo Mississippi (the same town and hospital as Elvis Presley) and lived on a Houseboat for the first year of my life. After that I moved to New Jersey, were my little brother, who is two years younger than me, was born. I have a twin sister, brother, two parents and fifteen pets.I love animals, and I am a vegetarian. I have never in my life eaten meat and I am okay with that. I love music, I play the violin and did Choir for a year. I also love to shoot. When I was little, four to be exact, my dad took me to a shooting competition, were I came in second place in the 10 and under age group. From than on he taught me to shoot rifles, 22's, pistols and everything in between. He also taught me how to throw tomahawks and knives, and shoot a bow and arrow. Until 6th grade when I started playing basketball with ROAR I had never played sports. My dad told us that in life we would be able to take self defense skills with us anywhere, not sports, he was right. My wonderful, loving mother taught me academics and acting. She was the best teacher I have ever had. And the reason High School was such a success for me. I like acting but my favorite part of a performance is doing stage makeup and hair. I am a senior this year, however, this is only my third year of high school. I skipped my junior year so I am a year early grad and very excited about going to college! With a lot of support from my Family and Mrs. McNutt I was able to maintain my class rank and sanity as I jumped up a grade. I am going to attend Wofford College for bioengineering and Pre-med. I hope to one day to get my masters and doctorate as in Obstetrics and Gynecology or in forensic investigations. Before I die I want to go on an archaeological dig, and go to Africa as a doctor on a missions trip. Another huge aspect of my life is Jesus, he walked me through the tough times of my life, from a friends suicide, to death of family members, I wouldn't be where I am today or who I am today without him.
I also helped my sister start a project she came up with called Well Worth It. The goal of this project was to raise money to build a well for another school in Africa, its still going on today and five other schools in the Rock Hill area are involved in it. I may not be able to change the World yet, but I certainly can make an impact. And that's me(: Oh and I LOVE food! And my favorite T.V shows are, Numbers, Bones, and NCIS!
Heidi,
ReplyDeleteI think you are an amazing young woman. very strong and talented! I am excited to work with you this semester and get to know you better. the gun thing surprised me! I have never shot a gun or even held one. they terrify me. I remember the boys group in my church growing up would go on weekend camping excursions and I loved camping and being outside and roughing it, ya know? BUT, when it came time to shoot and practice shooting, I froze up and have never been able to get over that. I don't mind bows and arrows, but guns petrify me!
I always say make a difference in the world where you can. I think if we all strive for that, the world will truly be a better place for everyone!
Keep your faith and stay strong!
Okay, so throwing knives...yeah im not to great at theat, but I know you are! But im a pretty darn good shooter! Im totally kidding, i've never done it so I wouldn't know haha. And i so played basketball with you when we were like 7. Good times. And i dont know why you would graduate early! But I guess you have a good reason, so have fun in college next year!!

ReplyDeleteThat's really cool that you lived on a house boat. I used to live very close to New Jersy and both my parents from there. The whole throwing knives is pretty...ummm...cool. :) very scary and something I never Expected out of you, but it's awesome for real.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE "NCIS" and "Bones". I could literally watch those shows for hours (and when I get Netflix, I will.)
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed by your goals for the future, and based on the very little that I just read about your prior acheivements I believe that your faith and strength will help you to achieve your goals! Good luck!
